Elegant building of glass and steel, the Institute of Vision has been built on the site of one of the largest hospitals of Ophthalmology of the world: the Quinze-Vingts. In the spirit of its designer, Professor José Sahel, this proximity is to combine basic and clinical research in the same spirit, to lead more rapidly to treatments against low vision. So thanks to the complementary scientific approaches, approaches to therapeutic benefit of patients can reinvent itself. In the film, we meet several patients at the Center for Clinical Investigation, the clinical research center of the Institute of Vision. This is where the molecules are tested developed by clinicians and researchers of the Institute. Patients are cared for in groups (cohorts) for research or participate in clinical study protocols.

In France, a million and half people are affected by eye diseases. They share the hope that with the Institut of Vision, therapeutic solutions to low vision, become a reality in the near future.
