Big Bang Theatre

An audiovisual spectacle in the form of a video triptych, in which three scientists defend their points of view in a friendly debate.

François Bouchet, Marc Lachièze-Rey and Hubert Reeves meet to debate a theory that has been largely accepted for several decades, but amuse themselves and the audience by deliberately questioning accepted wisdom and trying to explain a theory that continues to baffle most of us.

There is little in the way of images for something that’s impossible to visualise; just some simple graphics that thread in and out of the arguments.

There are as many questions as certainties about the Big Bang theory, which is incomplete and challenges astrophysicists to continue their research…
