Holy smoke

A range of young, and not so young users talk about their experiences and the damaging consequences on their lives; and the psychological and physical disorders which led them to the psychiatric ward. The film took two years to complete. The first year was devoted to research and study in various hospitals, meeting with victims of cannabis who were prepared to talk openly. The director then spent six months with an innovative and experimental psychiatric team at the Tenon Hospital in Paris, working closely with them, filming both staff and patients. The aim of this documentary is neither to defend the consumption of cannabis, nor to demonize it.
