At 15 km from Goma in Congo, stands, at 3500 meters, one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, the Nyiragongo. In 2002, a catastrophic eruption caused lava flows into the city of Goma. The plume has persisted over the volcano, volcanologist Jacques Durieux worries: the volcano threat terribly 400,000 residents of Goma.
