"Seuthes the immortal" on Arte

In 2004, Bulgarian archaeologist Kitov found an inviolate tomb in the Valley of the Thracian Kings, close to Sofia. It proved to be a burial temple of the famous King Seuthes III, who had led 150,000 horsemen against Alexander the Great. The discovery of this royal tomb and other artifacts allow us to discover the Thracian culture at its epitome. World-renowned specialists help interpret the signs left behind by this people, who had no written language.
