How can one make the the world aware of the need to protect an ecosystem?

Coral reefs are some of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet – and continuously get severely damaged by climate change, natural disasters and human beings. By declaring the Great Barrier Reef a National Park with extensive no take and no entries zones, Australia has taken a dramatic decision. Kathleen Swalling, a young biologist and member of the park authority, takes up the first fight against pollution, bad diving habits, political failures and ignorant fishermen...

  • Mathilde Nithart, press relations, Veolia Environnement, R&D
  • Pascale Joannot, coral expert in the expert committee of the MNHN
