Should we change everything in our way to cultivate the earth?
Taking as its central theme the presentation of agricultural GMOs currently on the market – transgenic plants which tolerate herbicides and plants which produce their own insecticides – this film offers an abundance of very concrete alternative proposals which any farmer can incorporate into his or her practice. These alternatives consist of improved agricultural practices based on scientific research as well as innovations made by farmers in their fields.
Strategies for the future include biological control, participatory plant breeding, respecting the life of soils, food autonomy in animal husbandry, and shorter circuits of distribution.
Farmers and researchers have become allies in order to illustrate the credibility of this new vision of agriculture where progress is no longer defined in terms of the logic of industrialization but rather by a sensitive approach to the living world.
