Explorer Stéphane Lévin is the instigator of Science travellers, a unique series of three scientific expeditions conceived for high-school pupils.

The film retraces the extraordinary experience of six young adventurers during the last expedition in French Guiana. Their goal: to gain insights into the role that rivers, forests, the atmosphere and human activities are playing in climate change, and to learn how space technologies are helping to observe, understand and protect our planet.

We see the youngsters as they go through the selection process, get fit for their adventure, prepare the scientific measurements campaign, perform experiments and tests, meet Amerindians and researchers in the heart of the Amazon forest. River travellers is the story of six high-school pupils that experience with the explorer over a period of one year, what it’s like to work on real-world science projects, in a classroom with a difference…
