Circling a forest, we encounter a dry riverbed. In this western region of France, farmers grow corn, a produce remarkably thirsty for water. During summer months, such irrigation methods consume 80 % of the available water.
The film fluidly explores the conflict between this profligate use of a "blue gold" resource to produce these "gold bean". Is there an alternative to such water-intensive production? With a clarity of vision the film explores how to balance a precious relationship with nature while preserving the environment.
