Artificially added omega-3 fat acids in cooking oil, banana chips with E220 and bread with E200 – additives are found in food we buy every day. Rarely do we make the effort to decipher what’s in the food we eat. But, do we really know what we’re eating? X enius investigates today what’s in our food and whether we can taste what good quality is.
X enius checks to see whether the French are truly the excellent gourmets they are generally considered to be. Who can tell the difference between the original and imitation food – the Germans or the French? What’s more, we’ll put organic products on the barbecue and test whether an organic barbecue really tastes better than one done with conventionally produced products.

Every day, year after year, tens of millions of men, women and children suffer from hunger. Two opposing worlds occupy the planet: the overfed and the underfed. Yet, feeding all of the planet's inhabitants is not just a pipedream. This film assesses the current situation and identifies key means of achieving this goal.
