The oceans still hold an unimaginable richness of life. But men regard upon that mainly as an inexhaustible source of seafood. Although an ever increasing num-ber of stocks are collapsing, 90 million tons of fish are taken from the sea every year. Going along with researchers, fishermen, producers and buyers in America and Europe, this lavishly filmed documentary, drills down to the causalities of over-fishing and teases out perceived and real solutions. Fisheries inspectors, politi-cians and fish farmers are being heard as well as fisheries biologists and marine ecologists.
