Myriam is a cellist. She is rehearsing for a concert held that same night. She is pregnant. Daniel, her husband is a philosophy professor. Irénée, Daniel’s father, suffers from Alzheimer’s. Lucas is growing in his mother’s womb. This film shows us how the memories of Myriam and Daniel operate, how Lucas’s memories develop and how Irénée ’s ones slowly fade away. These four interconnected destinies illustrate the importance of both individual and collective memories, their influence and evolution over a lifetime. Another character, the city itself, attests to the passing of time, a metaphor for those neurological paths.
