In science fiction films the minds of scientists are downloaded into computers and criminal brains are connected with the Internet. Interesting, but howdoes it work in real life......?

Science journalist Rob van Hattum wondered what information we really can other. An experiment where rat brains where directly connected with eachget from our brain and stumbled upon an extraordinary scientific experiment. An experiment that opens the door to a world in which brains are connected to form one big brain net.

For Backlight Rob van Hattum made a tour amongst neuroscientists looking. He connected his own brain to computers and let it completely be scanned searching for the limits of reading out the brainfor the future of our brain.
